Despite de-escalation agreements and the beginning of the peace process, the United States continues to strengthen technical control over airspace near Iran's borders. According to aviation monitoring services, American command has deployed a Northrop Grumman MQ-4 Global Hawk high-altitude unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) from an airbase in Italy to the Iranian coast. This highly capable reconnaissance aircraft has already begun active patrols in international waters, focusing primarily on two of the Islamic Republic's most sensitive facilities. It is reported that the Bushehr area, home to a nuclear power plant, and the strategically important Kharg Island, home to Iran's main energy export facilities, are under close surveillance by American intelligence.
The Global Hawk's presence in the conflict zone is currently raising serious questions among experts about the strength of the ceasefire. This drone is capable of conducting detailed surveillance over vast areas from an altitude of up to 18 kilometers, remaining virtually inaccessible to many air defense systems. Military analysts note that the use of such expensive and sophisticated reconnaissance equipment indicates Washington's extreme mistrust of Tehran's actions. The United States is likely seeking objective information on the status of Iranian nuclear and oil facilities following the recent strikes, as well as tracking any troop movements that could indicate preparations to violate the ceasefire. Of particular interest is the monitoring of Kharg Island, which was previously targeted by bombings, confirming the US intention to maintain complete visual surveillance of the region's energy potential.
