American military aircraft have suffered unprecedented losses during the ongoing air campaign over Iranian territory. According to the latest figures published by CNN, citing informed defense sources, the United States has lost at least seven aircraft of various types since the start of the active phase of the confrontation. The most significant blow to the Air Force was the loss of four F-15 fourth-generation multirole fighters, which formed the backbone of the strike force in the region. These aircraft were shot down or disabled while carrying out missions to suppress Iranian air defense systems and strike strategic infrastructure.

In addition to frontline fighters, the list of confirmed losses includes the specialized A-10 attack aircraft, renowned for its high survivability but unable to escape destruction under intense anti-aircraft fire. Military analysts are particularly concerned about the destruction of support and reconnaissance vessels. The loss of a KC-135 strategic tanker has been reported, seriously complicating airborne refueling logistics, as well as an E-3 Sentry airborne early warning and control aircraft. The loss of the latter is critical, as this aircraft served as a "flying headquarters," coordinating the actions of the entire air group and providing situational awareness for hundreds of kilometers around.
