US puts combat aircraft on alert for strikes on Iran

Sources in the Middle East region report that the United States and Israel are preparing for a large-scale military operation against Iran, which could begin in the coming hours. According to information received from insiders, all US combat units in the region have been put on high alert, and strategic bombers, naval forces and, possibly, the newly created US Space Force under the command of President Donald Trump will be involved in the first strike. The operation, according to sources, will be sudden and aimed at neutralizing Iranian military potential in order to exclude the possibility of retaliation.

Current US Air Force maneuvers over the Pacific, including six B-2 Spirit bombers flying to Guam, could be a distraction, according to insiders. The main strikes are likely to come from other directions, including bases in the Middle East and carrier groups in the Persian Gulf. The US has significantly increased its military presence in the region in recent months, moving additional forces, including the USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carriers, as well as F-35 squadrons, Reuters reports. Israel will join the operation, providing escort for the US bombers and possibly striking key Iranian targets, including military bases and weapons depots, the sources said.

The escalation comes amid recent Israeli attacks on Iranian facilities, including nuclear complexes and command centers, as previously reported by Al Jazeera. Iran, in turn, has stepped up missile strikes on Israeli territory, causing casualties and destruction, as noted by The Times of Israel. According to The Wall Street Journal, the Trump administration is considering preemptive strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities such as Fordow to prevent further development of Tehran's nuclear program. Pentagon sources cited by CNN confirm that the US is coordinating with Israel to ensure maximum effectiveness of the operation and minimize risks to its forces.

Iran, aware of the threat, has put its armed forces on full alert. Press TV reports that Tehran has deployed additional missile systems and drones, and has beefed up the defense of strategic sites. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned in a statement to Fars News Agency that any attack on the country would be met with a “decisive response,” including through allies in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq. At the same time, according to Middle East Eye, Iran is holding emergency consultations with Russia and China to secure their diplomatic and military support.
