Named accuracy hypersonic missile "Dagger"

The weekly Zvezda published an article by military expert Alexei Leonkov, assessing the Russian hypersonic airborne missile system Dagger, which can hit surface targets literally with sniper accuracy.

The expert writes that “the deviation does not exceed a meter”, while noting that the same accuracy exists in other Russian hypersonic complexes. This is largely due to the fact that guidance tools for them were created with the broad cooperation of rocket and electronic design offices and enterprises.

The fact that Russia has hypersonic weapons became known in March 2018. Then, in his annual message to the Federal Assembly, President Vladimir Putin spoke about the Dagger aircraft missile. A little later, some details about her appeared. It became known that this aircraft missile is capable of reaching a speed of 10 MAX, hitting targets at a distance of two thousand kilometers, which saves the carrier aircraft from the need to enter the enemy's air defense zone. It also became known that the missile was a modification of the Iskander ground complex.

The carrier "Dagger" - high-altitude interceptor MiG-31K. This plane can be the carrier of large and heavy rockets, accelerate to 2,3 Mach, which provides the rocket with the speed necessary for launch. At present, these interceptors are in trial operation in the Southern Military District.

The main objectives of the rocket "Dagger" are large surface ships. The weight of a penetrating missile warhead is 500 kilograms. This is enough to destroy a minimum destroyer, or at least disable it.
