It became known how the Russian S-300 got to Libya

Experts acknowledged the appearance in Libya of Russian S-300 air defense systems.

The photos that appeared with the Russian S-300 placed near the Libyan Sirte received the first confirmation from experts a day earlier - these are indeed Russian-made complexes. Nevertheless, the scheme for the supply of this weapon, which, by the way, is the most long-range in Africa, makes Russia completely uninvolved in this - the S-300 complexes were acquired by the UAE on completely legal grounds, and later it was this country that transferred the Russian weapons to the Haftar army.

“We shouldn't forget that the main sponsor of Haftar is the United Arab Emirates. It is a rich country that has not been imposed any sanctions, so it can buy any weapons and supply them to Libya. An example is the Chinese Wing Loong drones, which were supplied to Haftar from the UAE and have been actively used for several years. There is probably a real threat of a full-scale airstrike from Turkey. The Turkish Air Force has repeatedly practiced delivering such a strike during exercises. F-16 aircraft, with the support of tankers and early warning and control aircraft, flew to the shores of Libya more than once. Apparently, they were practicing the route of flight and strikes in the vicinity of Sirte. Ras Lanuf, where air defense systems were seen, is just at a sufficient distance from Sirte ", - about it сообщает edition of the Moscow Komsomolets.

It should be clarified that initially the analysts were confused by the "wrong" type of launcher, however, later there were suggestions that we are talking about the S-300V complex, which has four missiles located in one row.

Thanks to the appearance of the Russian S-300 in the Libyan National Army, now attacks from Turkey and the forces of the PNS Haftaru are actually not scary - in the event of the slightest threat, any air targets can be hit at distances of up to 200 kilometers, and taking into account some data, only on the territory At least one division of these complexes was deployed to Libya, although it remains unknown who exactly controls such air defense systems.
