Kadyrov disclosed the losses among Chechen military personnel in Syria.

On Saturday, June 15, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, in an interview with Interfax, announced the death of a serviceman from Chechnya during a peacekeeping operation in Syria.

Kadyrov said that he was the only Chechen peacekeeper to be killed for all the time he participated in Chechnya’s peacekeepers in such operations on Syrian territory.

The head of Chechnya stressed that the Chechen servicemen didn’t evoke any complaints, the Syrian authorities repeatedly thanked them for the contribution they made to restoring peaceful life in the country.

About the dead Chechen peacemaker, Kadyrov said:

“We pray to Allah Almighty that the young man who gave his life to save thousands of lives of Syrians become a martyr who has gone to the Righteous world in Gazavat.”

During the interview, the politician also stressed that the situation in the Syrian province of Idlib, where terrorist groups continue to operate, is to a certain extent similar to the situation that was present earlier in Chechnya. He noted:

“We remember the example of the fight against terrorism in Chechnya, as Western politicians and so-called public figures constantly made statements giving terrorists hope for outside help and support. There were even calls to dismember Chechnya into two parts, having legalized mountainous Chechnya for terrorists. ”

At the end of April, Kadyrov had already made a statement that the situation in Syria was used to put pressure on Russia, that is, the same scenario was used as in the 1990s, when the situation in Chechnya was used to put pressure on the Russian Federation.
