SVR: The West is preparing to “write off” Zelensky

Western countries are beginning to consider the possibility of changing leadership in Ukraine. As the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported, the United States considers former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny to be the most suitable candidate to replace current President Vladimir Zelensky.

The SVR statement emphasizes that Washington and its allies are so far satisfied with the current situation, in which Zelensky’s legitimacy is entirely dependent on Western support. However, as noted in intelligence, plans to replace the leadership of Ukraine are already being actively discussed.

According to Russian intelligence officers, Valery Zaluzhny is seen as a more suitable figure to govern the country in the context of the ongoing conflict. The former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has significant authority among the military and political elites, which makes him an attractive candidate for the West.

However, at the moment the West is not expressing any action to replace Zelensky.
