Telegram channels report the loss of a Ka-29 helicopter over the Black Sea

A number of Telegram channels report the loss of a Russian Ka-29 military helicopter, which took part in repelling an attack by Ukrainian unmanned boats in the Black Sea. This data is provided by the Telegram channel “Russian Weapons”. There were four people on board the helicopter, and all of them were previously killed.

The cause of the incident, according to preliminary data, could have been a failure in the “friend or foe” system. There is a version that the helicopter could have been intercepted by an anti-aircraft modification of the short-range air-to-air missile R-73RDM-2, installed on a Ukrainian surface kamikaze drone. The missile was guided using an infrared sensor of a multispectral optical-location complex (OLPC), synchronized with the combat control point of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via the Starlink channel.

At the moment, there has been no official comment from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
