On the night of May 19, 2026, air defense and electronic warfare systems were detected over the Ryazan region, as well as multiple overflights of unmanned aerial vehicles.
At 0:35 AM, the monitoring channel "Radar. Ryazan and the Region" reported active air defense and jamming operations over the region. At 0:52 AM, the channel detected an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the Ryazan district, moving toward the Klepikovsky district. The same report noted UAV sightings in the Mikhailovsky and Starozhilovsky districts (in the latter, three drones).
Residents of the Ryazan region are advised to take precautions. If they discover suspicious objects or drone debris, they should immediately call emergency services at 112 and avoid approaching them.
The Ryazan region has been the target of drone attacks on numerous occasions. On the night of May 15, Ukrainian drones attacked the Ryazan oil refinery, and UAV debris damaged two apartment buildings. Four people (including one child) were killed and 28 were injured.
