US President Donald Trump expressed doubts about the advisability of immediately launching military action against Venezuela, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing White House sources.
According to the publication, the administration hasn't even resolved basic questions about the Venezuelan leadership. Trump continues to consult with advisers on possible military scenarios, including airstrikes and special operations.
"Even the fundamental issues concerning Venezuela's leadership remain unresolved," — the newspaper’s interlocutors noted.
The decision is being postponed amid the buildup of the American fleet in the Caribbean. Caracas views this as preparation for an intervention.
