US President Donald Trump has decided not to provide Ukraine with long-range missiles, including Tomahawk systems capable of reaching targets deep within Russian territory. This was reported by White House sources following Trump's meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Washington on Friday.

The talks lasted approximately two and a half hours and, according to participants, were tense. One official noted that Trump believes Ukraine is seeking to escalate and prolong the conflict, fearing losses during the upcoming harsh winter.

"Trump made it clear in a direct and honest conversation that Ukraine will not receive these weapons for the time being," — CNN quoted the source as saying.

Earlier this week, Trump spoke by phone with Putin, announcing a possible summit in Budapest. Zelenskyy insisted on missiles to strengthen his defenses, offering Ukrainian drones in exchange, but Trump pointed out the risks of depleting American stockpiles.
