US President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran's leadership, outlining the rules for enforcing the recently imposed naval blockade. In his official statement, the White House chief emphasized that any attempt by Iranian vessels to approach the cordoned zone will be met with immediate lethal force. Trump noted that the Islamic Republic's regular navy has effectively ceased to exist—according to his data, 158 enemy ships, destroyed in previous clashes, are already buried on the seabed. The president described Tehran's remaining resources, consisting primarily of small, high-speed attack boats, as a minor threat that has not yet been eliminated solely because of its insignificance. However, the rules of the game are now changing: any dangerous approach of these boats to the American blockade will result in their immediate elimination.
The American leader drew a direct parallel between actions against Iranian forces and operations against international drug trafficking. He promised to use the same proven destruction system against violators that the US Coast Guard and Navy employ against smugglers' speedboats. Trump described this method as swift and merciless, leaving no chance of survival for those challenging American control of the waters. As evidence of the effectiveness of this strategy, the president cited statistics from the fight against illegal drug trafficking, stating that over 98% of drugs entering the United States by sea have already been intercepted. This experience, according to the head of state, will form the basis for maintaining the blockade of Iranian ports.
