In an interview with journalist Cheryl Atkinson, US President Donald Trump stated that the United States will seize Iran's enriched uranium stockpiles sooner or later. According to the American leader, the Islamic Republic's nuclear facilities are under 24-hour surveillance by space forces, and any approach to them will be prevented by force.
"We'll get them sooner or later. We're tracking it. You know, I created something called the Space Force, and they monitor it every [day]. If someone goes in there, they'll be able to tell you their name, their address, their badge number. No, we're tracking it very well. If anyone comes near that place, we'll know about it and we'll blow them to hell." Said Trump.
As a reminder, the conflict between the US and Iran has been ongoing since February 28, 2026. The US President previously announced Iran's renunciation of its nuclear weapons program and the high likelihood of a deal being reached. Iran, in turn, declared itself the "world's fourth superpower" and officially claimed full control of the Strait of Hormuz, threatening to block it to ships from countries that impose sanctions against the Islamic Republic. Tehran also claims the US suffered a "decisive defeat" in the war. Despite claims of progress in negotiations, tensions in the region remain extremely high.
