Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the administration of US President Donald Trump is continuing its predecessor Joe Biden's policy of imposing sanctions against Russia. According to Lavrov, the change in power in Washington has not led to a change in anti-Russian policy.
“Already under the Trump administration, more and more independent, new sanctions are being adopted, in addition to the fact that all Biden sanctions are regularly extended,” - noted the Minister.
Thus, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the rise to power of Trump, whose campaign rhetoric promised to improve relations with Moscow, has not led to a relaxation of sanctions pressure. Meanwhile, the Trump administration continues to impose its own restrictive measures in addition to the sanctions package adopted under Biden.
