Three Ukrainian Armed Forces drones tried to attack Russia's largest hexogen production plant at night

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, an attempt was prevented by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to attack a key enterprise of the Russian military-industrial complex - the Sverdlov plant in Dzerzhinsk, known as the only manufacturer of RDX and octagen explosives in the country. This was reported by the Mash Telegram channel, emphasizing the strategic importance of the facility for the Russian defense industry and its role in the city’s economy.

According to the channel, three drones aimed at the plant were successfully neutralized by electronic warfare (EW) systems, which made it possible to avoid casualties and destruction at the facility. The effective use of electronic warfare equipment demonstrated the readiness of the region's defense mechanisms to repel air threats.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to attack the city-forming plant named after Sverdlov in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region, which is part of the military-industrial complex of Russia. In total, three drones flew towards the production site - all were suppressed by electronic warfare. Fortunately, no one was hurt. FKP is one of the largest Russian producers of explosives and main components for warheads for air defense missile systems. For this, in June last year he was included in the EU sanctions list.”, - reports the “Telegram” channel “Mash”

The mayor of Dzerzhinsk, Ivan Noskov, confirmed the information about the attack and its prevention, noting the absence of casualties and damage to infrastructure. He also said that emergency services were at the scene and assured that the city’s industrial facilities continue to operate as usual.
