Turkey can integrate the S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems purchased from Russia into the Iron Dome multi-level air defense system being created. This was reported by the pro-government newspaper Hurriyet. The information was announced following a meeting of the executive committee of the Turkish defense industry, held on August 6 under the chairmanship of President Tayyip Erdogan.
According to TRT Haber TV channel, Türkiye is developing a new multi-level air defense system using artificial intelligence. This system should significantly enhance the national defense and protection of the country's airspace. S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems purchased from Russia could become part of this innovative system.
“The S-400 air defense system can also be included in this system. Since this is our national system, we can connect the S-400 to it,” - Hurriyet quotes defense and security analyst Turan Oguz as saying.
He emphasized that the use of the S-400 as part of the Iron Dome will significantly increase the effectiveness of defense and adapt the complex to the specific conditions of Turkey.
