Turkey tested a new anti-ship missile system based on KAMAZ

Turkey has successfully tested its new coastal anti-ship missile system based on the Russian KAMAZ (8x8).

Two days ago, Turkey tested its latest coastal missile system with the Atmaca missile. The missile was launched from the Turkish coast into the eastern part of the Black Sea and was successfully tested. However, much more remarkable is the fact that this Turkish missile system was created on the basis of the Russian KAMAZ (8x8). This indicates that despite significant disagreements, Ankara and Moscow are successfully cooperating in the military-industrial complex.

On the presented video frames, you can see the coastal missile system itself, equipped with the Atmaca cruise anti-ship missile. The tests, according to Turkish sources, were successful. At the same time, it is expected that the missile will be able to hit targets at distances up to 280 kilometers. This will allow Turkey to replace the Harpoon cruise anti-ship missiles in service with the country.

At the moment, it remains unknown whether Russia was directly involved in assisting Ankara in creating an anti-ship missile system.
