After serious disagreements between Ankara and Moscow over Syria, Turkey has publicly accused Russia of occupying Crimea.

The head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Mevlut Cavusoglu, after unsuccessful negotiations between Turkey and Russia on Syria and the subsequent bombing of the positions of the Turkish military and terrorists controlled by Ankara in Idlib, publicly accused Russia of occupying Crimea. According to the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Russia's actions to annex the Crimean peninsula are illegal and in fact are an occupation. In this regard, Turkey does not intend to recognize the peninsula as part of Russia.

“Turkey and Russia adhere to different positions on a number of issues, including Ukraine, Georgia, and the occupation of Crimea. Turkey recognizes the territorial integrity of Georgia and Ukraine and will never recognize the illegal occupation of Crimea " - said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu within the framework of the VII Warsaw Security Forum.

Such public accusations against Russia will not go unnoticed. In the near future, Moscow will give its response to Ankara's actions, which is likely to be expressed in the beginning of the cleanup of the territory of Idlib and the northern part of Syria, where, by the way, Turkish troops are located completely illegally.
