Turkey shot down a Russian drone over northern Syria

The Turkish military shot down a Russian drone over northern Syria.

A few hours ago it became known that the Turkish military, using their electronic warfare, shot down a Russian military unmanned aerial vehicle over the Syrian province of Idlib. According to information available to the news agency Avia.pro, we are talking about the Orlan-10 UAV, and, in all likelihood, this is not the first Russian drone destroyed by Turkish electronic warfare systems.

According to a number of assumptions, the drone could have fallen due to a technical malfunction, however, judging by the published data, in this area there are abnormal problems with the GPS signal, communication interruptions, etc., and about a year ago it also became known that Turkey has deployed its electronic warfare systems in this area of Syria

“Russian reconnaissance UAV Orlan-10 crashed in the north of the Syrian province of Idlib. Probably, the loss of the UAV is connected with a technical malfunction, ”reports Telegram -War Journal Community.

It is known that no ground fire was carried out on the drone, which confirms the information about the destruction of the drone by the electronic warfare complex.

These ropes or tape, as you wrote, are just a parachute system for landing a UAV.

Judging by the photo, the accident happened because the scotch tape with which the wings of the UAV were glued broke.

And what is the structure in the photo? Shyly, they did not show the "face" of the drone. Yes, and how they knocked him down - holes are visible, similar to bullet holes, the wings are connected with something "a la scotch". It doesn't look like Orlan, especially in details.

Is it okay that our UAVs use GLONASS?
author, you would at least fantasize easier ...

The ORLAN-10 observer can use GPS, but under special countermeasures this is most likely EXCLUDED - only GLONASS.
The real possible cause of the fall (if it really is "Orlan-10") is most likely a technical malfunction. since it has a crypto-protected command-telemetry channel with frequency hopping and two-stage error-correcting coding ...

This means that the developer needs to work on protection against interference. And help the Turks in the disposal of their UAVs, so that they would fall from the sky like hailstones. May there be a clear sky, and so: The concentration of carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere has exceeded a record value of 421 parts per million. And the Turks also spoil the air with UAV engines. Let's protect nature and clean air!
