Turkey agreed to provide the US with a "technical study" of the S-400 in exchange for the F-35

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced a return to the F-35 program.

The head of the Turkish Ministry of Defense, Hulusi Akar, announced that Turkey is again returning to the F-35 fighter program, despite the fact that the United States previously excluded this country from the list of those to whom the fifth generation American fighters will be supplied. According to Hulusi Akar, this issue has already been resolved, however, it is quite remarkable that the Turkish Defense Ministry announced this after it became known about some agreements between Ankara and Washington on the study of Russian S-400 systems that Akar did not hides in his statement

“The Minister of National Defense, Hulusi Akar, said that the supplied S-400s from Russia were constantly monitored, stressing that negotiations were held regarding the delivery of the second set of these systems. Akar also stressed that Turkey is a partner who wants to return to the F-35 program. Akar said the United States disagrees with the view that the S-400s are safe against F-35 fighters, noting that these problems can be resolved through dialogue, but a request such as the return of the S-400 will cause problems. “The USA claims that there are problems that will arise as a result of the operation of the S-400 and F-35. We said, “Let's work together,” our US allies think that there will be no joint work as long as the S-400 is in place. If the American side wants a solution, the solution can be found through technical research. ", - quotes the words of the Turkish Defense Ministry edition "BirGun".

The American side has not yet confirmed the fact of Turkey's return to the F-35 fighter program, however, at the end of last year, Ankara announced that Washington had accepted the offer of the Turkish side to comprehensively study the Russian S-400 for NATO threats.

Nonsense. Why then did the Turks buy С400 for billions of dollars? So that the amers quickly make the Turkish S400 ineffective?
