Turkey nevertheless handed over three MIM-23 Hawk air defense systems to terrorists in Syria

Discovered three Turkish MIM-23 Hawk air defense systems, handed over to Syrian militants.

The information that Turkey handed over three MIM-23 Hawk anti-aircraft missile systems to Syrian militants, as previously reported by the Avia.pro news agency, received the first documentary confirmation. As it turned out, at least three MIM-23 anti-aircraft missile systems were deployed north of the Syrian city of Al Mastum, located in the Syrian province of Idlib.

Previously provided information was confirmed by data from satellites. Apparently, the Turkish air defense systems were deployed in the Syrian province of Idlib not a few days ago, as originally stated, but about a year ago and at the moment the air defense systems are under the control of terrorist groups.

On the presented satellite images, you can see the base area of the Turkish MIM-23 Hawk air defense systems. The latter are located at one of the bases of Turkish mercenaries. Although so far the complexes have not been used against Russian aviation, there is a real threat that, against the background of continuing attacks by the Russian Aerospace Forces on terrorists in Idlib, sooner or later the latter may use Turkish air defense systems against Russian aircraft.

Experts do not exclude that the complexes are operated by the Turkish military, since the mercenaries literally do not have the necessary knowledge of managing air defense systems, but the risk that the jihadists will try to put pressure on Ankara and strike at Russian aviation is very high.
