Turkey declared its readiness to support Azerbaijan during the invasion of Karabakh

Ankara again began to threaten Armenia with military measures.

Despite the fact that earlier relations between Armenia and Turkey had stabilized, it became known that Ankara again began to threaten Yerevan with consequences if it tried to send its troops to the unrecognized Republic of Artsakh and thereby arrange a provocation against Azerbaijan. Turkey announced that they are ready to support Azerbaijan in case of its invasion of Artsakh.

“Turkey has been and remains on the fair side․ This was also the case with Karabakh, when Turkey supported the heroic Azerbaijani army. Turkey once again warns Armenia against further provocations [against Azerbaijan]”Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.

At the moment, there are no aggressive actions on the part of Turkey against Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, but this situation indicates that Azerbaijan intends to continue the confrontation in Karabakh, especially since, despite some stability in the region , Azerbaijani troops still remain here.

Experts note that a new escalation in Karabakh can be avoided only with the direct assistance of the Russian peacekeeping forces, however, the forces of the PRC and the Azerbaijani army have been noticed for violations.
