Turkish fighters invade Syrian airspace

Turkish Air Force fighters invaded Syrian airspace.

After an incident that occurred the day before near the village of Morek, when an air strike was launched against a convoy of Turkish military (according to Turkish media An air strike was carried out by the Russian Aerospace Forces - approx. Ed.), Turkey almost immediately lifted F-16 fighters into the sky, which invaded Syrian airspace and headed towards Khan Sheikhun.

According to the information provided by the Telegram community, the Turkish F-16 fighters headed for Khan Sheikhun, however. 150 kilometers from it turned around and returned to Turkish airspace.

What made the Turkish warplanes retreat is unknown, however, there is evidence that the reason for this was a warning from the Syrian military about its readiness to use air defense systems, as well as unconfirmed reports that Turkish fighters were intercepted from the Khmeimim airbase two Su-35 fighters.

It should be clarified that some open conflict between Syria and Turkey was avoided, however, the Turkish side previously allowed the country's air force to strike at the positions of the Syrian military, in case the latter attack the Khan Sheikhun.
