According to official data, for the first quarter of 2016, the losses of the largest domestic airlines have increased to an indicator of 24 billion rubles, which is an increase of 9 billion rubles over the same period last year. It is interesting that air carriers suffered the greatest losses on domestic routes, which is probably due to excessive costs of air operators for paying for aircraft leased, while in international air routes air carriers were able to achieve a very significant profit, which amounted to 1,5 billion rubles in the first three months of this year .

Experts believe that the major growth factor for airlines is the loss crisis situation, and, smaller airlines activity in this case is more effective.
