US Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner have canceled a planned meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Brussels, a Euronews journalist reported, citing diplomatic sources.

According to the correspondent, American representatives promised to return to Washington immediately after talks with Vladimir Putin in Moscow and not to consult with the Ukrainian leader. This decision was an unexpected turn in the diplomatic process, which had anticipated continued dialogue in Europe.

Axios journalist Barak Ravid previously stated that after their Moscow talks, Witkoff and Kushner would head to Europe to meet with Zelenskyy. However, Putin adviser Yuri Ushakov clarified that the US representatives would return to Washington, confirming that there were no plans for further contacts in the near future.
