Russian units can go on a counterattack immediately on Chasov Yar.

Against the backdrop of how Ukrainian troops are quickly losing their positions in Bakhmut itself and its environs, it became known that Kyiv had carried out an emergency evacuation of the population from Chasov Yar. The reason for this is that the city is located just a few kilometers from Bakhmut, and given where the fighting is currently taking place, there is a real opportunity, along with Bakhmut, to take control of Chasov Yar as well.

The administration of Chasov Yar confirmed the fact of the evacuation of the city's population. It is known that the evacuation itself was partly forced. In particular, parents with children were forcibly taken out of the city, however, other citizens, in the absence of a desire to evacuate, were allowed to stay, however, there were practically none.

To date, the largest forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are located in the Chasov Yar area, in connection with which, there are also suggestions that the Armed Forces of Ukraine may try to carry out a maneuver to quickly surrender Artemovsk and, having already regrouped, proceed to a counterattack, which is reported quite a lot as Ukrainian, as well as Western media.
