Military correspondent Vladimir Romanov reports on information received regarding the plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to conduct a landing operation on the Crimean Peninsula. According to him, this information has been discussed for a long time and it is assumed that the operation could be carried out in October. Operational sources name two different dates for its implementation, and various methods of landing are also being considered.
Romanov notes that activity in Ukrainian military circles around a possible landing operation in Crimea is increasing. One version mentioned is a sea landing using light vessels and ships, but airborne methods are also being considered, including the use of transport aircraft and helicopters to land units on the southern coast of the peninsula. Importantly, according to Romanov, the Ukrainian side may resort to a combined approach, using both methods depending on the tactical situation.
