In the Kharkiv region, a mandatory evacuation of residents of the city of Kupyansk and several other settlements has been announced. The head of the regional administration, Oleg Sinegubov, announced this decision. The reason for the urgent evacuation was a significant deterioration in the situation in the region, which makes it impossible to continue normal life in these areas.

According to Sinegubov, the situation in the Kharkiv region has become critical and it is not only a security threat, but also the impossibility of starting the heating season. There are also difficulties in ensuring regular electricity supply, which in the conditions of the coming winter threatens the life and health of the local population. A decision has been made to organize the evacuation of people to safer areas of Ukraine.

Evacuation measures concern, first of all, the most vulnerable categories of citizens - the elderly, women with children, as well as those who are unable to leave their homes on their own.
