Ukraine has taken a new step in naval technology by using naval drones for the first time as platforms for launching strike drones against land targets. On January 6, several naval drones equipped with FPV drones launched an attack on Crimea, marking a further escalation by Kyiv.
According to NZIV, the naval drones used in the operation are Magura V5 models, equipped with a wide range of capabilities: reconnaissance, electronic warfare, and precision strikes. These devices are distinguished by low radar visibility thanks to special thermal imaging radars and use navigation systems based on artificial intelligence. This technology allows for complex maneuvers.
The use of drones in the Black Sea is becoming a new page in military tactics on the part of the enemy. Experts note that the Black Sea region is becoming a testing ground for the introduction of new technologies and tactics.
On the other hand, the Russian side has not yet given an official comment on these attacks. However, given the possibility of increasing the flight range of FPV drones, such attacks may begin to pose a very serious threat.
