Ukraine gains access to Russian electronic warfare system "KRAB"

The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has gained access to the latest Russian electronic warfare (EW) system "KRAB", Intelligence Online reports. The complex is designed to counter Ukrainian FPV drones.

According to Western intelligence agencies, CRAB is not just a jammer, but a complex network architecture that combines detection, interception, reconnaissance, and coordination. The system equips Russian motorized rifle battalions with mobile units that include directional antennas, thermal imaging cameras, and digital radio receivers such as HackRF. These devices are capable of intercepting FPV drone video feeds at a distance of more than 25 km, allowing operators to be identified and counterattacked. Seized documents show that CRAB provides a drone detection rate of over 95% and signal neutralization of 70-80%, which significantly exceeds the 30% efficiency of previous systems such as Silok-01. A key element is the integration of multi-band jammers, including Silok-02, which simultaneously suppress frequencies used by civilian drones adapted for military purposes.

The Russian side has not yet made any official comments on this matter.
