Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a significant breakthrough in the missile program: the upgraded Neptune missile has successfully passed tests and has already demonstrated its capabilities in real combat conditions. The statement was made on March 15, 2025, via the official Telegram channel of the head of state.
"Today I heard reports on the progress of our missile program. The results are impressive. The Long Neptune has proven its effectiveness both in testing and in combat. It is a precision weapon with a range of a thousand kilometers," Zelensky noted.
The appearance of such weapons in the Ukrainian arsenal could create serious risks for Russian territory, especially since, given Kyiv’s intentions to produce such missiles not only in the country but also in other countries, it could allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to receive up to 20-30 missiles per month.
