Ukraine will consider the possibility of participating in the summit proposed by China to resolve the situation in Ukraine

Ukraine has announced its readiness to consider participation in the summit proposed by China to resolve the conflict with Russia. Ukrainian Ambassador to Singapore Ekaterina Zelenko reported this to the South China Morning Post.

According to the diplomat, Ukraine will consider participating in the peace summit provided that the negotiations are based on “the norms and principles enshrined in the UN Charter and international law.” Zelenko emphasized that Kyiv does not and has never considered China as an opponent, striving to see Beijing as a friend and partner in resolving the current conflict.

These statements come against the backdrop of recent remarks by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who had previously been critical of China's decision not to participate in the peace summit held in Switzerland. Zelensky expressed disappointment at Beijing's refusal, accusing China of trying to disrupt the event.
