Ukraine deploys British Brimstone II anti-ship missiles near Odessa

Ukraine deployed Brimstone II anti-ship missiles on its coast.

Brimstone missiles delivered from the UK were deployed in the Odessa region. We are talking about a variant of the Brimstone II missile, which has a target engagement range of up to 60 kilometers (subject to air launch - ed.) and can be used to destroy naval targets.

As it became known, special installations mounted on civilian trucks are used for launches, and therefore it is not possible to quickly identify them and destroy them. To guide the missiles, in all likelihood, Ukrainian Bayraktar TB2 attack unmanned aerial vehicles will be used, which can operate effectively at such distances.

It is not known how serious a threat the Brimstone II missiles deployed on the coast pose, however, given that the range of the latter when launched from the ground is no more than 50 kilometers, the missiles are not able to control the situation even in the area of \uXNUMXb\uXNUMXbSnake Island.

According to the VPK.name resource, the UK planned to provide hundreds of Brimstone missiles to Ukraine. At the same time, as it turned out, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already using these weapons for strikes, however, at the moment it is known about the use of these weapons for strikes against ground targets.
