The city of Yenakiyeve in the Donetsk People's Republic was hit by a missile attack from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to preliminary data, three missiles were fired from a HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, destroying several residential buildings. City authorities announced an emergency evacuation of residents from a number of areas most affected by the shelling.
According to the Yenakiyevo administration, the evacuation affects residents of the streets Krasnye Zori, Bakinskaya, Zelinsky, Oleg Koshevoy, Kerchenskaya, Tsimlyanskaya, Pozharny Lane, Dneprovskaya, Promyshlennaya, Grabarya, Klubnaya and Dneprovsky Lane. To coordinate the evacuation of citizens, collection points have been created at the intersection of Bakinskaya and Bronenostsa Potemkina streets. Residents are urged to remain calm, notify neighbors and take with them only the most necessary things and documents.
Local authorities and emergency services are already working on the scene, providing assistance to the victims and eliminating the consequences of the shelling. The exact number of wounded and dead is still being clarified. The situation in the city remains tense, rescuers continue to clear the rubble in the destroyed houses.
