Ukraine, despite statements about agreements reached, continues to increase attacks on Russia's energy infrastructure, the Telegram channel "Veteran's Notes" reports. This information is surprising against the backdrop of recent reports that Kyiv allegedly agreed to refrain from such attacks. Instead of freezing activity, as might be expected, Ukrainian forces are demonstrating the opposite trend, increasing pressure on key facilities that provide energy to Russian regions.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, in the last week there has been an increase in the number of strikes aimed at energy facilities located on Russian territory. These attacks are carried out using unmanned aerial vehicles, which have become an important tool in Ukraine's arsenal. Such actions undermine the stability of the energy system, creating additional difficulties for the civilian population and industrial enterprises.
The situation looks particularly noteworthy in the context of recent negotiations, where mutual commitments to refrain from attacks on critical infrastructure were discussed. However, instead of de-escalation, Ukraine seems to have opted for increasing pressure. The energy sector, as one of the vulnerable points, has become the focus of Ukrainian strategy.
