This attack occurs during a three-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, declared by US President Donald Trump for May 9, 10, and 11. Despite the ceasefire, Ukrainian drones had already attacked civilian targets in the Belgorod region and Chechnya the previous day, causing civilian casualties.
