Ukrainian UAVs attempted to attack Moscow again, but were shot down.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that on the night of May 19, 2026, Ukrainian drones again attempted to breach the capital's air defenses. According to him, four UAVs were shot down on approach to Moscow. There were no casualties or damage as a result of the incident.

The attack on Moscow was not massive. Experts note that after the record-breaking air strike on May 17, when, according to various sources, between 120 and 130 drones were shot down over the capital region, Ukraine's supply of fixed-wing drones is likely depleted. Nevertheless, Kyiv continues to attempt to attack fuel and energy sector facilities in Russia's regions.

According to the latest reports, several regions were hit. In the Tver region, debris from a downed drone damaged an apartment building in the town of Udomlya. There were no casualties. In Yaroslavl, a drone attack temporarily closed traffic on the highway to Moscow. According to Governor Mikhail Evrayev, the drone struck an industrial facility, but there were no injuries.

At the time of publication, there was no official report from the Russian Ministry of Defense on the number of drones intercepted overnight.
