Ukrainian intelligence agencies carried out an attack on Russian oil production infrastructure in the Caspian Sea, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported.
According to sources, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) deployed long-range drones to attack the Filanovsky platform, owned by Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft. The field holds reserves of approximately 129 million tons of oil and 30 billion cubic meters of gas; the output was intended for export via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
The Russian Ministry of Defense previously announced the destruction of two Ukrainian drones over the Caspian Sea, but provided no information about damage to infrastructure. There is no official confirmation from Moscow regarding the attack's consequences.
