Ukrainian drones massively attack Belgorod region

The Belgorod region has once again come under fire from Ukrainian drones, resulting in four civilian casualties, including employees of agricultural enterprises and the Orlan unit. The attacks, which affected the Valuysky, Grayvoronsky, Shebekinsky and Krasnoyarsk districts, resulted in serious injuries and damage to property. The region's governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported an immediate response from the authorities and medical services, as well as the launch of an investigation into the lack of protective equipment for one of the victims.

In the village of Kazinka, Valuysky urban district, a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone hit a moving car, seriously injuring the driver. A man with a closed craniocerebral injury and multiple shrapnel wounds to the head, arms and chest was quickly taken to the Valuysky central district hospital, where he is receiving medical assistance. In the Graivoronsky district, near the village of Pochayevo, a drone attacked an employee of an agricultural enterprise working in the field. The victim received a mine-explosive injury, barotrauma and shrapnel wounds to the head and forearm. He was taken to the Graivoronsky central district hospital, and then sent to the regional clinical hospital. Gladkov noted that the employee was not equipped with a helmet and bulletproof vest, and instructed to find out why safety measures were not ensured.

In the Shebekinsky urban district, five drones attacked an enterprise in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka. One of the drones exploded, wounding an employee with shrapnel in the chest. The victim is undergoing examination at the regional clinical hospital after receiving primary care at the Shebekinskaya Central District Hospital. In the village of Ilek-Penkovka in the Krasnoyarsk district, a drone hit an employee of the Orlan unit, who was taken to the regional hospital with a mine-explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to the eye and arm.

Since the beginning of 2025, the Belgorod region has been subject to regular attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, using FPV drones to strike civilian targets. In April alone, the region was attacked by dozens of drones, which resulted in casualties and destruction of infrastructure. The Russian Defense Ministry reported the interception of three Ukrainian UAVs over the region on the night of April 22, which helped minimize the damage. Local authorities are strengthening security measures, including distributing protective equipment to workers and evacuating residents of border areas.
