Donetsk People's Republic, June 5 — Avia.pro. The Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted an air strike on the territory of the former Donetsk Airport. This infrastructure complex currently serves as a specialized drone port used for launching Geranium series unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the Telegram channel "Osveditel."
To carry out the attack, Ukrainian forces deployed kamikaze drones designed with a "flying wing" aerodynamic configuration. However, due to the specific design and complex controllability of these aircraft, enemy operators missed several of their intended targets, resulting in some of the drones detonating away from key buildings.
Footage of the air raid's objective monitoring was published on the specialized Telegram channel "Osveditel." Experts note that this facility had previously been subjected to similar attacks using cruise missiles, and the level of damage is estimated to be minimal due to the missed strikes and the light weight of the warheads of the drones involved.
