Ukrainian MiG-29s have been upgraded to use three types of American cruise missiles

Ukrainian MiG-29s have been upgraded to use three types of American cruise missiles.

Ukrainian MiG-29 fighters are capable of carrying AGM-88B, AGM-88C1 and AGM-88D cruise missiles. The use of three types of American cruise anti-radar missiles AGM-88 at once significantly expands the capabilities of Ukrainian combat aircraft, since, depending on the version of the missile, the latter can be launched at a distance of more than 130 kilometers, which already poses a rather serious threat.

At the moment, it is known that in Ukraine there are at least two variants of cruise anti-radar missiles - AGM-88B and AGM-88C1, as well as training missiles DATM-88, used to identify targets for strikes. It is not known how many such missiles the Ukrainian Air Force has, however, experts note that we are talking about fifty missiles with a warhead.

How successful the use of AGM-88 cruise anti-radar missiles by Ukrainian pilots is today is unknown, since no official statements have been made about the loss of air defense systems in this regard. However, earlier it became known that the AGM-88 missiles were developed specifically to combat the Buk and S-300 complexes.
