Several companies in Ukraine have begun bringing in migrant workers from India and Bangladesh to offset the loss of local specialists, BBC Ukraine reports. This process, according to the publication, has already begun, but is hampered by bureaucracy and high costs.
"We're expecting this influx. It won't be massive, but it's already happening. Among foreigners, the most frequently hired are people from India and Bangladesh. These include general laborers, logistics specialists, drivers, and welders. The employment process for foreigners needs to be changed and simplified. Currently, it takes an average of six months, and employers have to invest significant resources in it." - stated Dmitry Degtyar, co-founder of the HRD-club company.
The situation is exacerbated by the recent opening of borders to men aged 18-22, which has led to an additional outflow of young people and exacerbated the crisis in the labour market.
