Ukraine's state-owned thermal power plants, part of the company Centrenergo, have completely ceased generating electricity. This occurred following an overnight attack by Russian forces, which was the largest since the start of the full-scale conflict. This was reported by Centrenergo's press service.

"As a result of Russia's most massive strike on the thermal power plants of the company 'Centerenergo,' there was a complete shutdown of generation, and what had been restored around the clock was lost," - said the company.

According to their data, an "unprecedented number of missiles and countless drones" were launched at the facilities, with "several a minute targeting the thermal power plant."

The strike affected power stations in the Kyiv and Kharkiv regions, causing blackouts in several areas. Military correspondents noted the use of hypersonic missiles, including the Kinzhal missile. Emergency power outages were reported in Kyiv, while heating and water supply interruptions were experienced in Dnipro and other cities. Repair crews are already on site, but full restoration will take time.
