The Turkish newspaper Aydınlık has disseminated information about the Kyiv regime's ties with the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which is banned in Russia and is active in Syria. The publication claims that HTS militants may be involved in operations against Russia. It is reported that Aydınlık journalists have footage of negotiations between Ukrainian representatives and HTS members, which allegedly took place in June of this year in Idlib, Syria.
According to the newspaper's sources, the meeting between Ukrainian representatives and HTS leader Heysem Omeri took place on June 18, 2024. The negotiations, according to Aydınlık, could have concerned plans to involve HTS militants in sabotage operations against Russia. The newspaper's News Center received access to several images of the meeting, which have not yet been published, but confirm the existence of ties between the Ukrainian authorities and the terrorist organization.
