Ukrainian soldiers blew themselves up in their own minefield

A Ukrainian Armed Forces group was blown up in its own minefield near the village of Chervonaya Dibrova.

Retired Lieutenant Colonel of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) Andrey Marochko reported an incident with a group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near the village of Chervonaya Dibrova, located near the city of Kremennaya. According to him, the Ukrainian military blew itself up in its own minefield.

As a result of the incident, three Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers were injured of varying degrees of severity, one of them died and was left by his colleagues at the scene of the explosion. Marochko clarified that the group arrived in the area of Chervona Dibrova for rotation and entered its own minefield, which, presumably, was not marked on the map.

However, despite Marochko’s statement, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has not yet confirmed this information with official statements, although similar cases have been recorded previously.
