In Ukraine, for the first time, significant losses were recognized during the recently launched counteroffensive. This became known from the presented military sources. The military personnel blamed the incident on the command, which, according to critics, made mistakes in the strategy of warfare.

According to available data, Ukrainian troops, including up to three motorized infantry platoons, went on the offensive in close battle formation. However, as expected, at the stage of deployment in battle formation, they were discovered by means of aerial reconnaissance of the Russian army. Apparently, quadrocopters were used, which were able to identify the positions of the Ukrainian troops and timely transmit information to the artillery.

Given the craters formed, it can be assumed that the Russian army used at least the regimental volume of firepower, which in turn indicates the scale of the shelling and the use of calibers of 152 mm.

After detecting the Ukrainian units, the Russian army launched an artillery strike, which forced the Ukrainian troops to withdraw from the line of fire. The situation became catastrophic for the enemy when, having passed the line of transition to the attack, his forces were faced with shelling from anti-tank weapons and small arms of the Russian army. This led to large-scale losses of armored vehicles and the failure of the counterattack.
