According to data published by Forbes, the Russian strike on the Poltava communications training center was carried out based on intelligence provided by the Ukrainian military itself in exchange for monetary compensation. The publication claims that the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia (GRU GS RF) actively uses such methods, generously paying for information about important Ukrainian military facilities.
According to Forbes, up to $500 could have been paid for the data provided to the Russian side. This suggests that there may be inside sources within the Ukrainian forces willing to cooperate with Russian intelligence in exchange for large sums.
The attack on the training center in Poltava has become one of the most discussed events of recent days, as it resulted in significant losses among the Ukrainian military and the destruction of a strategically important facility.
