Ukrainian military stole engines and spare parts for Mi-17 and Mi-35 helicopters from Afghanistan

The Ukrainian military was accused of stealing components from helicopters of the former Afghan army.

About a day ago, a Ukrainian cargo plane Il-76 took off from the Kabul International Airport. His arrival in Afghanistan was not reported, however, as it turned out, the Ukrainian military stationed in this Middle Eastern country removed spare parts, engines and components for the Mi-17 and Mi-35 helicopters. It is for this reason that most of the rotary-wing aircraft of the Afghan Air Force were captured by the Taliban in an unusable condition.

It is known that on board the military cargo plane that departed from Kabul were various kinds of components. Moreover, the latter, apparently, Ukraine intends to use for the repair of its rotorcraft, since the Ukrainian Air Force has very big problems with the availability of spare parts.

Among other things, there is information that, in addition to the technicians, there were also mercenaries on board the Ukrainian military aircraft that departed from Afghanistan, who allegedly operated Afghan combat vehicles, although there is no official confirmation of this yet.

Earlier it became known that 12 Ukrainian mercenaries still remain in Kabul. Official Kiev denies this information, stating that all Ukrainian specialists left Afghanistan.

But there is the Mi-24, a modification of which is the Mi-35, which is 90% compatible with it in terms of spare parts.

When you lied, you forgot that Ukraine does not have the Mi-35 :)
