The Ukrainian armed forces have once again established control over the village of Demidovka, located in the Krasnoyarsk district of the Belgorod region. This was reported by military correspondent Vladimir Romanov on his Telegram channel, noting that the settlement, located on Russian territory, was temporarily occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This information indicates the continuation of intense hostilities in the border region, which has become the scene of active clashes between Russian and Ukrainian forces since early March 2025.

According to Romanov, Demidovka, a small village near the border with the Sumy region of Ukraine, came under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces after another breakthrough attempt by Ukrainian units. The war correspondent emphasizes that the situation remains unstable. According to his report, Russian troops have not yet been able to regain control of this area, which makes Demidovka one of the key points of the conflict in the Belgorod region at the moment.

The return of Ukrainian forces to the village indicates that the enemy is trying to maintain the initiative in certain sectors. Local authorities in the Belgorod region have not yet commented on the situation, but Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has previously repeatedly emphasized the complexity of the situation in the Krasnoyarsk region, where an evacuation of residents was announced due to military actions.

Since March 18, 2025, Ukrainian forces have launched a series of attacks on the Belgorod region, focusing on the western part of the region, including Demidovka and neighboring villages such as Prilesye and Popovka. According to Russian military bloggers, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are using the tactics of small groups supported by armored vehicles and artillery, which allows them to temporarily seize positions. At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the destruction of a significant number of enemy drones and equipment, claiming that the main forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been pushed back.

Analysts attribute the intensification of fighting to Ukraine's attempt to create a "buffer zone" on Russian territory, which could ease the pressure on the Sumy region, from where the attacks are coordinated.
