Moscow News, December 9, 2025, Avia.pro. Air defense forces repelled another attack by a Ukrainian Armed Forces unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) heading toward the Russian capital. The incident occurred on the afternoon of December 9, according to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

Emergency services are working at the site of the fallen debris. Similar drones attempting to approach the city had previously been destroyed.

In total, over 120 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) attacking from the Ukrainian side were shot down in various regions of Russia overnight and during the day of December 9. Due to the threat, Sheremetyevo Airport implemented the "Carpet" plan, leading to flight cancellations and delays.
